Promotion results

Master Sargent results came out last Wednesday. I didn't make it :( . I missed Master by 17.15 points. One more year time in service and a few more correct answers on the SKT test and I would have made it.

This was my first time testing to Master so I wasn't too disappointed. I'll make it next year. ;) On other news,

Katie wasn't able to go to Bible camp last week because the initial flyer was misleading. The church she goes to was slated for the July dates but the flyer gave us the impression we had a choice between June or July. She was bummed about it but she did get to go to her friends "I hate Orlando Bloom - birthday party" where they played "Orlando darts" among other things.

We're looking forward to our California trip . I have a mission to do in two weeks but when that's done I can start preparing for the vacation. A much needed, vacation...

The good with the bad ...

In spite of all that's happening it should be a summer to remember for the girls.

Katie is heading to church camp for a week on June 22nd. Then Katie and Becca go to Brenda's Parents from July 12th -20th. After that, Katie has Red Cross babysitter training for a three days then it's straight off to California with Katie and Becca from the 24th through the 10th of August. Then a week to get ready for school on the 17th. Meanwhile, Katie has two projects to complete for her honors English lit class for the eighth grade. Becca is just hanging out and going with the flow.

I'm hoping that when we get to California I can use the USAA free car class upgrade and get a convertible. The girls would enjoy that. I can't wait to get home. I'll get to spend a whole week (maybe more) with my dad. My buddy Jason back home wants to mia tia me into oblivion. I'm not going to complain. I'll have time.

Start of a long road

So ... A few things have changed with me - situationally. Not everyone in my family is aware of them but some are. Good things by some aspects and lines of thought, bad things by others. Big adjustments regardless.

Ushering in this new change I thought I would be better suited to wipe the old website and its news entries and start fresh. Since Dotclear seems on the verge of a new official release, and I can't seem to find ANY English CMS that meets my needs better than this one, it seemed like good timing. A sign, if you will...

I know, the whole thing is kind of cryptic, yeah, but until 'everybody' knows what’s going on it’s gonna have to stay that way. But, this new site won't be for just venting but for news about Katie, Becca, and I. The photo gallery is restored. No captions yet. I'll work on those -- promise.
