Charity

Passing along an observation from another concerned American about the direction that the current WHO is taking this country. (Part II)

"Charity Begins at Home"

"When I went to school, I remember my US Government class discussing the subject of Isolationism, and how bad it was. Well, I find that the farther away from Isolationism we go, the more trouble it causes us and the greater the burden on my tax obligation grows. In 2011, our national deficit is predicted to be in excess of 1.3 Trillion dollars (if the Bush tax cuts are extended). This is how much more we are going to spend than take in in revenues. Everyone who breathes agrees, we need to cut spending… but what to cut? Cops? Firemen? Foreign Aid?"

"Lets take the last one for example. According to the US Census website, 2007 was the last year data was available on totals for foreign aid. In ’07 the US spent $41.5 Billion in foreign aid. It’s widely accepted that much of the billions we give to countries like Egypt and Pakistan go right to the Talibans and Hamases of the world. Why? Same reason Al Capone paid cops and judges… protection. If they give these billions to terrorists (fellow Muslims) they won’t make trouble for them. So how does $41.5 Billion mean to me and you? In 2007, it was about $300 per household (those that paid federal income taxes). It doesn’t sound like a lot, but foreign aid is just a drop in the bucket of our wasted money. This number is much greater today, but good luck trying to find the current numbers on foreign aid, I tried for a while tonight."

"My point? Quit giving my money to terrorists!!! Let me keep it and spend it (growing the economy) or invest it for my future. America needs to take care of herself! No one is going to help us! Let other countries take care of themselves, we thrived, so can they. We are not giving them a chance to learn what our founders found out the hard way. And, by God, sometimes, that’s the best way to learn, and WE are better for it. If we as a country and states embrace Isolationism, we can use our own ingenuity, consumer goods production, power sources (oil, uranium, solar), agricultural industry, and make it on our own! This fear of being on our own is a fear unwarranted. It’s nice to have Allies, but even better to not need any."
