Or Else!

Passing along an observation from another concerned American about the direction that the current WHO is taking this country.

//-------------------- …Or Else!

A dangerous precedent has recently been set. Our supreme leaders have declared, YOU WILL BUY THIS PRODUCT FROM PRIVATE INDUSTRY, OR ELSE YOU WILL BE PUNISHED!! Health insurance is an important thing to have, if YOU want it. But to be required to buy it? I don’t need a parent! I can make judgments and decisions for myself and my family! Our forefathers could ever have known we would all be cruising around in 4 wheeled petroleum powered machines everyday to work and back, at least, I don’t recall ever reading about it in the founding documents.

Commerce Clause

Excerpt from my Constitutional Law I essay ...<br />

"... Art. I, sect. 8, cl. 3, of the Constitution grants Congress the power to regulate commerce “among the several States”; that this clause justifies requiring health care of every citizen. Commerce is the relationship between producer and consumer. This clause grants power to the Congress to stave off imbalances and monopolies that affect the commerce of the “several States”. This clause can and has become twisted to the point of being viewed as an automatic pass devoid of any definitive consideration or due process. Health care in the United States is not simply commerce. It is a very large part of our countries’ economy. The U.S. Constitution grants power to regulate, not control or be in competition with, the private sector.

Anything we do as a people can be viewed by some degree, for those looking for justification, as affecting our health or the health of others. We cannot heap upon the Constitution the weight of regulation and mandates to the human condition. Where would the domino effect stop; after all the pieces have fallen down? While reform, to negate fraud and reduce human suffering, both physically and financially, is undeniably needed it should not and cannot be left to Government to manage, and decidedly not on the backs of the people it purportedly represents."

Charity

Passing along an observation from another concerned American about the direction that the current WHO is taking this country. (Part II)

"Charity Begins at Home"

"When I went to school, I remember my US Government class discussing the subject of Isolationism, and how bad it was. Well, I find that the farther away from Isolationism we go, the more trouble it causes us and the greater the burden on my tax obligation grows. In 2011, our national deficit is predicted to be in excess of 1.3 Trillion dollars (if the Bush tax cuts are extended). This is how much more we are going to spend than take in in revenues. Everyone who breathes agrees, we need to cut spending… but what to cut? Cops? Firemen? Foreign Aid?"
