Katie's results came in yesterday. She scored a composite score of 23 (max 36 points) with a state ranking of 78%. That means that 78% of recent high school graduates in the state of Louisiana that took the same test scored as well or lower than she did! Her score compared to the US was 69%! Katie is 13 years old! That just blows me away.
Thought you all should know. 
Katie was selected by the Duke University Talent Identification Program (TIP) to take the ACTS do to her school grades and honors classes she is taking.

I got back from Eglin AFB in Florida on Jan 30th. We made the drive in 7.5hrs. Not too shabby. Of course there were no kids or (sorry but the truth hurts sometimes) no women in the car so it was pretty much straight through with two gas stops, and one side of the road pitstop. Florida was cold, rainy, and boring. Yes, it was the off season but come on, it should have been more fun there. Maj Gen Raaberg stopped by in his T38 specifically so he could watch the mission. He "requested" that I sit next to him at the Mission Control Center. Fun Fun...
