"When I went to school, I remember my US Government class discussing the subject of Isolationism, and how bad it was. Well, I find that the farther away from Isolationism we go, the more trouble it causes us and the greater the burden on my tax obligation grows. In 2011, our national deficit is predicted to be in excess of 1.3 Trillion dollars (if the Bush tax cuts are extended). This is how much more we are going to spend than take in in revenues. Everyone who breathes agrees, we need to cut spending… but what to cut? Cops? Firemen? Foreign Aid?"

A dangerous precedent has recently been set. Our supreme leaders have declared, YOU WILL BUY THIS PRODUCT FROM PRIVATE INDUSTRY, OR ELSE YOU WILL BE PUNISHED!! Health insurance is an important thing to have, if YOU want it. But to be required to buy it? I don’t need a parent! I can make judgments and decisions for myself and my family!

Hello all. What to tell. Lets see,
- Jeff has found a place of his own. He took his kids Sterling and Stephanie back to their mom's in S. Carolina yesterday.
- Katie is leaving for LSMSA this Saturday. I have all of her stuff and it's all stacked in the living room. She had two going away parties. One at Brenda's and one here. All together there were 11 kids, and 6 adults. We forgot about one of her friends though so Katie is going to go hang out with her tomorrow night for a bit. The party was a blast! I hadn't sat down with adults for intelligent conversation in a long time! It felt good. Drop a comment below if you want Katie's snail mail address.

So where was I? Yeah, so I turned 40 last month. Odd, feels a lot like 39.
I updated the "about me" section to include this "...I find myself in the interesting position of having learned quite a few things, so much more than others I feel, and now I am feeling like I have a second chance. You know when you say to someone, "If I only knew then what I know now." It's like that but I get to do it again and the only thing I had to give up was 14+ years of (whatever it was). But, the trade isn't so bad, I got two beautiful and bright girls out of the deal. So, life take2." With regards to second chances, the outcome always depends greatly on the individual.
